  • Make a square sheet cake and decorate it to look like a game board.

  • Cover round crackers with cheese, peanut butter or different styles of jelly to create edible “checkers.”

    Hot Chipped Beef Dip
    8 oz cream cheese
    2 Tbsp milk
    3 oz dried beef
    1 Tbsp minced onion
    2 Tbsp chopped green pepper
¼ tsp seasoned salt or pepper
    ½ cup sour cream
    ¼ cup sliced almonds

Blend cheese and milk and add remaining ingredients. Place in a small, ungreased casserole and heat at 350 for 15 minutes. Garnish with extra almonds and serve with raw vegetables and crackers.

    Oven Made Caramel Crispix Snack
Combine to make 5 quarts of Crispix, pretzels and nuts
    1 cup butter
    2 cups packed brown sugar
    ½ cup light corn syrup
    1 scant tsp salt
    ½ tsp baking soda

Spread the 5 quarts of mix in a large baking/roasting pan. Put it in an oven warmed to 250 to keep warm and crisp. Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a 1 qt heavy sauce pan. Place over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Continue to stir and cook to 248 on candy thermometer (firm ball stage). This takes about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. Syrup will foam. Take warm mixture from oven and pour hot caramel mixture over it in a fine stream. Stir and mix well. Return to 250 oven for 45-50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool on waxed paper. Keep breaking pieces apart until cooled completely or the mix will be mushy instead of crispy. Enjoy!

    Totally Easy, Yummy Crackers
7 boxes of a variety of snack crackers (Nips, Chicken in Biskit, Wheatables, etc.)
1 cup Orville Redenbacher popcorn oil (add more oil to your liking)
1 package Hidden Valley Ranch powder salad dressing

Combine all the crackers into a paper grocery bag (double up, it can get greasy). Then add in the Orville Redenbacher popcorn oil. Shake the crackers around to spread the grease around. Then shake in your Hidden Valley Ranch powder salad dressing and shake the crackers around again and place the crackers in a heap on a baking sheet. Put them in the oven at 350 for about 5-10 minutes. Remove from the oven, let them cool, and put them in a bowl. They are really yummy and totally addicting.
