Getting together to play games is always a lot
of fun, but it can take a lot of energy too, so check out these great snack ideas to keep you fueled for fun!

Bake square cookies, cover with white frosting and add chocolate chips to make dice.
Make a square sheet cake and decorate it to look like a game board.
Cover round crackers with cheese, peanut butter or different styles
of jelly to create edible “checkers.”
Dartboard Pizza
4 Servings
Prep/Total Time: 30 min.
Ingredients
1 tube (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
1 can (8 ounces) pizza sauce
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 package (3-1/2 ounces) sliced pepperoni
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup chopped green pepper
Directions
Unroll pizza crust onto an ungreased 14-in. pizza pan; flatten dough and build up edges slightly. Prick dough several times with a fork. Bake at 425° for 7 minutes or
until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Spread pizza sauce over the crust; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Place one pepperoni slice in the center of the pizza; chop remaining pepperoni. Sprinkle some chopped pepperoni around the outer edge of pizza, leaving 1/2 in. of
crust. Sprinkle remaining pepperoni in a circle between center slice and outer edge. Arrange cheddar cheese and green pepper alternately in a spoke pattern.
Bake at 425° for 12 minutes or until cheese is melted and pizza is heated through. Yield: 1 pizza.
Cheese Spread Dice
24 Servings
Prep: 30 min. + chilling
Ingredients
3 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened, divided
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Italian cheese blend or part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon milk
8 medium pitted ripe olives
Assorted crackers
Directions
In a large bowl, beat two packages of cream cheese, shredded cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce and parsley until blended. Press into a plastic wrap-line
8-in. x 4-in. loaf pan. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove cream cheese mixture from pan; cut in half widthwise. Stack one on top of the other on a serving plate. In a small bowl, beat milk and remaining cream cheese
until smooth. Spread over cube. Cut olives in half; arrange on top and sides of dice. Serve with crackers. Yield: 3 cups.
Gelatin Game Chips
Plan ahead...needs to chill
36 Servings
Prep: 30 min. + chilling
Ingredients
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 envelopes unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup cold water
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream
5 cups lemon-lime soda
4 packages (3 ounces each) berry blue gelatin
4 packages (3 ounces each) raspberry gelatin
Directions
In a saucepan, heat milk and sugar over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Soften unflavored gelatin in water; stir into the milk mixture until dissolved. Remove
from heat; add vanilla. Cool to lukewarm; blend in sour cream. Pour into a 13-in. x 9-in. dish. Chill until set.
In a saucepan, bring the soda to a boil. Place blue gelatin in bowl; stir in 2-1/2 cups of soda until gelatin is dissolved. Pour into another 13-in. x 9-in. dish.
Repeat with raspberry gelatin and remaining soda. Refrigerate until set. Using a 1-1/2-in. round cookie cutter, cut white, blue and red gelatin into rounds. Stack or
scatter on a serving plate. Yield: 9 dozen.
Word Brownies
60 Servings
Prep: 20 min.
Bake: 25 min. + cooling
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups packed brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 can (16 ounces) chocolate frosting
1 cup vanilla frosting
Directions
In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the
flour, baking powder and salt; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in nuts.
Spread into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool.
Frost brownies with chocolate frosting. Cut into 1-1/2-in. squares. Place vanilla frosting in a small heavy-duty resealable plastic bag; cut an 1/8-in. hole in one
corner. Pipe letters on brownies and arrange on a serving platter to form words. Yield: 5 dozen.
